From March 10th through 18th, Acud Theater hosts the Mime Festival, a celebration of pantomime and physical theater for both kids and adults. The festival opens with Radim Vizvary, a Czech artist whose work combines slapstick with Butoh and leaves Marcel Marceau stereotypes in the dust.
Coco Fusco has been making incisive performance art around issues of race, nationalism, and cultural memory for decades. Her latest piece in Berlin, for the Kunst Werke Weekends series, uses German colonial archives to discuss the relationship between archives and trauma. It takes place March 11th at 5 pm at Sophiensaele, Sophienstr. 18.
The Princeton-Fung Global Forum is taking place this year in Berlin. The forum March 20th through 21st brings together heavy hitting keynotes and panelists on the question, "Society 3.0: Can Liberty Survive the Digital Age?"
