Carnival fans not headed west can get a taste of the festivities here in Berlin at Berliner Faschingszug. Get your costumes ready for Sunday the 19th. The party starts at 11:11 a.m at Olivaer Platz in Charlottenburg; the parade then heads to Wittenberg Platz.
Russian art collective Chto Delat opens their latest exhibition, On the Possibility of Light, simultaneously in St. Petersberg and Prenzlauer Berg, at the art space KOW, Brunnenstr. 9. The central image of the lighthouse documents both victims of protest in contemporary Russia and offers a beacon of hope. The exhibition runs from Feb 18 until April 9.
SAVVY Contemporary's Speaking Feminisms lecture series is designed as a series of exercises. This week, Exercise Number 3 features art historian Giovanna Zapperi on the work of counterculture Italian artist, and activist Carla Lonzi in the 60s and 70s. It will be held at Plantagenstraße 31 on Tuesday, February 14 at 6 PM - 9 PM.
