Three Things To Do This Week
A few things to keep in mind this week:
Berlin Beer Week has arrived: Head to their website for the full range of happenings from tap takeovers to workshops to food pairings. There’s pretty much any beer-related event you can imagine - including a tasting in a pitch black room. The festival runs until July 30th.
The English Theater Berlin presents a one-woman show written and performed by Carrie Getman. The autobiographical play tells the story of a young woman’s isolation in her apartment upon moving to Berlin and her upstairs neighbor who falls to his death. Catch it July 29th at 8 PM, Fidicinstr. 40.
It’s the last weekend of the exhibit “Das Kleid” at the Katharina Maria Raab gallery. The show combines paintings with a collaborative embroidery project. Participating refugee women meet each Sunday to embroider a simple dress with traditional and innovative designs, and at the end of the project, each woman will be photographed in the dress. The final open workshop will be held from 3-7 PM on Sunday, July 31st on Keithstr. 5.
